Hello, my name is Daniel Scott. Due to recent trail and
tribulations in life, I have come to the conclusion it is time to volunteer. I
strongly believe that everyone, at some time in their life, should volunteer. It
helps the world go around. I have always had family obligations to care after,
so my volunteering commitment has always been pushed to the back burner, just as
it gets done for many. But now I can, so now I will in
China.

   

So why China?

    Lol, I still ask myself that. I have
always appreciated their culture. With the emergence of China's economy, the
children in poverty are feeling the growing pains. The pressure has been immense
for China to "catch-up" to western standards.

     Unfortunately the poorest of the poor are being left
behind. As China evolves, there is an utmost importance to learn English. Watch

I am happy to say that I have found a company that helps with this
situation. The company's name is Buckland International Language Group. They

I plan on staying for 2.5 months, interacting with all ages
of people.

   Here are the expected expenses. Airfare is
approx $985 for 2 flights. Flying from Orlando to NY, then
from NY to Hong Kong. The visa is $130, passport $190, flight from Hong
Kong to Guilin $435, transfers, and taxes.

    I am currently fundraising for the largest expense, the
airfare, $985. Even a donation of $1 will help.
